来月行われるScrum Gathering Tokyoの特別講演を控えるJeff Patton。彼から川口さんがAgile 2011で独占インタビュー取材をされた動画がYouTubeにあります。川口さんのすばらしい翻訳が付いていますが、語学トレーニングがてらJeff Pattonの英語をディクテーションし、Lang-8で添削してもらいました。添削を受けやすくするためにLang-8の日記中で川口さんを勝手に「マイフレンド」にしていますw（この場を借りて川口さんにお詫びします。）

Hello, I'm here at Agile 2011.
And I'm talking with my friend Kawaguchi-san.
We've been talking about..., I'm excited I'm going to Japan in.., in October of this year.
And I'm very excited to be speaking at the Scrum Gathering in 2011.
And very Excited to be delivering a class on.., on scrum product ownership.
My product ownership classes are very different than everyone else's.
Because, well, I don't focus on scrum, I focus on products, and I focus on everything that happens outside of scrum.
So if you are a scrum master, or not a scrum master, if you are a product owner, if you are a product manager, or if you are someone works on... product requirements or if you're a developer that's working on closely on figuring out what you should build.
My class covers lots of ideas and concepts that help people figure out what to build and let the process take care of itself.
I look to seeing ah..., everyone who can make it to Scrum Gathering in Tokyo and anyone who can make it to the class.
And I love to see you there as well.

今回も1分くらいだし、結構わかりやすい発音だったので、けっこうよくできたかも、と思っていました。Lang-8で最初についてコメントでは「直すとこなんてないよ！」ぐらいだったのですが、次に丁寧に見てくれた人の手によってボロボロになりました。どうもありがとうございました。


彼のセッションやスクラムマスター研修を受講しようという人に彼の英語について少し書きます。発音はわかりやすい方に入ると思います。同じくらいのスピードで話されても僕くらいのレベルだと難易度に差が出ます。
ただ、遅くもないのでどれだけ英語できない人に合わせてくれるかってことになりますね。来日の際は、通訳もあるでしょうし、こちらの英語スキルを十分考慮して話してくれると思いますが、できれば英語でも理解したいですよね。というわけで、「スクラムガイド」を読んだ後に英語版も読んで、Scrum Update Documentなどの関連文書で語彙に慣れるようにします。他にリスニングも鍛えてから参加します。


なお、この勝手ディクテーションシリーズはまだ続くかもしれません。
